I use the mobile version of an online dating site on my Droid. But, that’s more like mobile-access, not mobile dating. Mobile dating, or Dating 3.0 (as I like to call it), is the use of an app specifically dedicated to using your cell phone’s background processing capabilities to deliver profiles to your cell based on your real-time location.

Well now that I have officially switched from my pink BB to the Droid, I had to look into apps that would fit my Midtown Girl lifestyle (fabulush, hello). I already had most of the essentials but wanted to add a few more apps that would integrate seamlessly with my busy schedule…
Last week, we had the opp to attend a lovely luncheon at Meet at the Apartment to view the new HTC Droid Incredible smartphone. Not only were we given the chance to test out the new Incredible smartphone, we were also given fabulous Minx manicures! Love. It.

Microsoft KIN: I think I once had a date w. a Matty Goldberg
Holy Crap.
To say Microsoft Kin‘s marketing is ingenious would be an understatement. The vid above is part of ’The Journey’ series, in which a chick named Rosa travels across the U.S. – with her trusty KIN, of course – to meet various peeps IRL from her Facebook account. Her goal is to find out “Are We Really Friends with Our Friends”.
In the above clip, she meets the ‘online flirt’ fb friend, Matty Goldberg, who…totally reminded me of an online date gone horrifically wrong. I almost broke out with a case of IBS watching this vid…too real for words!

iPhone has a new app called ‘Are You Interested?‘ Well…are you??? Here is some info (from their website) about the facebook dating app’s newly created iPhone app:
