Miami is a great city with lots to do. But one of the biggest misconceptions is that you need to go to the beach in order to have a great time. This might be exceedingly appealing to tourists, but to locals, who live in Miami, South Beach is not only tiresome for a first date, but it’s also really boring. South Beach is where we go when our friends and family visit from out of town. It’s where we go for ‘events’ and things to do. We associate it as a ‘hangout’ spot — maybe a third date. But certainly not a first.
Fave Date Spots:
For me personally, I love going to a really laid back restaurant and perhaps going to see a show afterward (theatre at Broward Center or Adrienne Ardst) etc. I like the opportunity to get to know someone. I know you really can’t talk during a show, but it gives you another opportunity to have just another topic to talk about with someone. If someone isn’t into theatre, Miami is such a vibrant city with so much to do, that some restaurants are amusements within themselves. Also, don’t ever underestimate the power of just being somewhere with a nice atmosphere, where you can talk and just get to know someone. That’s what a date is, it’s a get-to-know you
Miami is full of different types of people. There is wide array of food and an eclectic mix of culture. It’s a great city to go dancing in, see an art exhibit in and overall relax in. It has all the opportunities of a big city as well as the relaxing-vacationing styles of the topics!
