  1. Cheer on the NYC fav at the Kentucky Derby.  The Bell House NY is hosting a full day of Derby fun ($10 at door). Watch 3-year-old colt Verrazano, named after the NYC bridge, race in this Saturday’s Kentucky Derby (hope he wins!). If you’ll be watching at home, use MG’s fabulush cocktail recipes as a guide to making some light & delish sips.
  2. Get your foodie on, Asian style. The Lucky Rice Festival features a menu of inventive Asian dishes by 20 master chefs. Sip on delish cocktails while tasting even more delish food.
  3. Glam up your apartment decor. Add some Hollywood chic to an old chair by spray painting the legs a brushed silver. Or, why not visit your fabric store (or the garment district in Midtown), and pick up a few yards of a brightly colored or boldly printed fabric for some spring flair. Fold the fabric and use as a duvet for your bed or throw for your sofa. Easy x 100 ;-)

If you love home decor as much as MG, then this will be fun. I randomly found this Ethan Allen* quiz during one of my 2am online shopping rituals and thought it was uber cute (and actually tapped into my design aesthetic). Super easy, you click on one of two pics shown through a series and at the end, you’ll find out your “signature design style”.

My favorite person in the world is my mom. I adore, admire & look up to her in every way so when Mother’s Day comes around, I like to have my gift ideas ready. If your mom is a fan of gemstones in shades of pretty, then a great Mother’s Day gift idea is a silver gemstone ring. Gems TV is a UK-based brand that offers almost every gemstone shade under the sun and has a huge selection of uber pretty silver gemstone rings to choose from. Since they have an affordable price point, you can mix and match rings with different colors of the season – orange, green & fuschia.
