Date Night Hair: Balayage Highlights At Muze Salon, Chelsea

Jan 16th 2013 0 Comments

I cut & color my hair approx 3 times a year. Maybe even 4 times depending on the color of my highlights, but my hair is pretty low maintenance which is why I can wait so long between salon trips. I prefer balayage most of the time, because the grow out is subtle and the color lasts longer for me. Muze Salon, located in a newly renovated, huge space in Chelsea,  offers this service so I was happy to try them out!

Before balayage, roots gone wild…

My colorist was Arthur, an experienced hair stylist who took the time to ask me what I specifically wanted and explained to me what my hair type (colored/medium thick) needed to stay fabulush. After he hand painted the color, he used the following products below to cleanse, gloss & heat protect my hair to restore its shine.

Hair products used from top to bottom:

  • Cleansing: Wella Enrich Moisturizing shampoo & conditioner
  • Pre-Styling: Sebastian Trilliant Thermal Protectant & Oribe Smooth Style Serum
  • Blowout/Finishing: Oribe Royal Blowout Spray (my new fav!!)

Love my hair, thanks Muze Salon!

Dahlings, have you refreshed your hair color for the new year?
