Next week is Thanksgiving, so for those of you who will not be traveling out of town or just don’t feel like cooking for 10 hours, NYC has some fab holiday dinner options for you, friends & fam…

What makes this list a MG “Best of NYC”?

1. I’ve been to each one and the food, service & ambiance are all worth the trip.

2. Each resty is serving a full Thanksgiving dinner on the 24th which makes them awesome.

You dolls know that I’m a born & raised NYC girl but, what I want to share with you are the amaze peeps I’ve met that aren’t originally from here & have fam based in other states/countries, etc. When you live in Manhattan it’s interesting bc you would never think – even though the city is as fabulush & big as it is – that it’s truly a small world. I run into chicks I went to high school/college with who are visiting, working here, whatevz.

But when I meet peeps who aren’t from here but came here to make a name for themselves, it’s different story.

Sooo…
For me, the past few Thanksgivings have been quite different from each other:

One year I decided to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal in my tiny NYC apt kitchen. Mom repeatedly asked me the whole time if I had felt claustrophobic living in my apt. It didn’t help that with the oven on all day, it made the entire place hot as hell & super uncomfortable.

To top it off, since I own a limited number of dinnerware place settings, I had to continuously wash dishes after the appetizers and until dessert.

Chinet anyone?
Another year, the fam & I decided to take a break from the traditional full-day-o-cookin’ and opted for a fantastic Thanksgiving meal at a fabulous Italian resty in Midtown – complete with fresh mozzarella made at the table!

Can’t get more fresher (or easier) than that folks ;-)
Then last year, I spent Thanksgiving day in the hospital with my mom since she had just suffered a stroke on the 22nd of Nov. Worst Thanksgiving (& year) ever
This Thanksgiving, I am hauling Midtown Pups & myself to my parents house to spend it with them. All I have to do is – SHOW UP, lol!

Crossing my fingers that they will have the fried shrimp & ribs I requested as part of my fav additions to the traditional Turkey feast (sorry – sooo NOT a fan of Turkey!)…

And this year, I am thankful that my mom is home & healthy and that I can spend the holiday the way is should be spent…with my family ;-)

Midtown Girl & Midtown Pups wish you & your fabulous families a wonderful, happy & healthy Thanksgiving holiday.

Sooo thankful to have you dahlings as part of our extended family – kissies for everyone!!!

Thanksgiving love,
