“I Love Beauty. It’s Not My Fault.” Valentino

This week, Tanqueray Gin sponsored a fabulush event with 1stdibs.com at the New York Design Center in Midtown. While sipping on signature Tanqueray cocktails, we viewed 5 gorgeous Valentino vintage couture gowns and celebrated photographs from Italian Cinema in the 1960s taken by the famed Life magazine photographer, John Philips.  Check the stunning pieces below my dahlings…

I bought this last year from Etsy & am having it hemmed since it is a bit long on me (will def do an outfit post once it is done!). The color is totes perfect for my S/S 11 wardy but I need the right heels to wear with it…

What shoes do you dahlings think would look good with this dress…maybe T-Strap Platform Heels? Any suggestions would be super appreciated my lovelies!

Did you lovelies know, that besides being a compulsive online shopper, I also purchase about 99% of my vintage…online??? And in doing so, I decided to dedicate a post to my intense obsession with purchasing vintage pieces exclusively online.

On Saturday I was fortunate enough to make the last hour of the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show on W. 18th St. (Special thanks to VSGgirl for the show info – please check out her Vintage Shopping Guide website for any vintage related information you need!!)

The collections were amazing from vintage Chanel chains/bags/coats to Hermes to Gaultier to vintage furs/stoles/capes to you name it – they had it.

Of course the first thing that caught my eye was a phenomenal black tuxedo coat…Chanel of course! And it would have been mine, if I only had $1299 to dish out – of which I did NOT!

Note – I would have taken so many more pics – but the point & shoot action was not adored by many of the vendors, unfortunately ;-( Dammit.

AND…I missed out on a pic of the 6ft tall, platinum-blond Tranny trying on some vintage Versacedamn, damn, damn!

Next time dahlings, for shiz.

Jean Paul Gaultier
Corset Jacket circa 1989 $459BTW – The entrance of the event was draped in LV -
including benches, chairs, tables, ottomans…trunks, suticases, endtables AND

SHUT UP!
Louis Vuitton Tiolet seats?!?!
Yours for only $300 a pop…booty-lux folks, lol!
Will definitely check out the show again next year…and hopefully score some vintage bling! XOXO

Happy Monday dahlings,
