Girls’ Night In (Before A Fabulush Night Out)

Apt. MG hosted a ‘Girls’ Night In’ before a fun night out! Thanks to the folks at Smirnoff, I hosted a chic soiree in my apartment with some of my fav girls. Sometimes life can be super busy, so the theme of the eve was to bring together girlfriends I had not seen in a very long time to catch up on their lives, plan the evening’s activities, dine on delish bites and sip on yummy lo-cal cocktails. Check out how we spent the ‘Girl’s Night In’ at Apt. MG.

Dahlings @MelMurphyTweet, @FashionzChick, @BecomingBKLYN,  @maewow & @Usha_Joy came over after each having a long day at work for some much needed cocktails before an evening out. To make sure everyone had a chance to try out all 3 of Smirnoff’s Sorbet Light Vodka  flavors (lemon, mango passion fruit & raspberry pomegranate), I set up a tray of mini martini glasses

Each Sorbet Light flavor was served in its own pitcher & labeled so that everyone knew what they were drinking. An easy & chic way to add some extra fabulushness to your martinis is to add herb-filled ice cubes (add a few pieces of basil, mint or sage with water into an ice cube tray & freeze). So what did the dolls think of the mini martinis?

“Loving the cupcake cocktail combo!” Caitlin

“My Friday is awesome – cupcakes, Smirnoff cocktails & awesome company.” Usha

“Girls Night in w Midtown Girl and my favorite @MidtownPups!” Mae

With gorgeous cocktails, delish bites are a must. I paired my Sorbet Light Martinis with color coordinated mini cupcakes (obvs), sushi & fresh pineapple. Choosing light bites that can be eaten w/o plates or with toothpicks are the easiest way to keep the party low-maintenance (a description MG does not use very often, FYI).

And check out Melissa’s vine vid featuring a delish cocktail disappearing.

Afterwards, each dahling was given a sorbet colored gift bag (clearly I love my themes), and we were off to continue the party out after our fabulush girls’ night in.

Dahlings, when was the last time you planned a Girls’ Night In?
