After choosing the gorg fuchsia Dana Clutch to wear with my lilac trench, I just had to get the blue version for Free Endearment’s Style Blog Off Challenge! The blue Dana works perf with my Zara striped blazer, H&M coral shift blouse & Elizabeth & James heels. This outfit would be a fabulush option for a casual spring date night!

Ahh, spring. Spring is totes a great time to update your date outfit wardy because as the weather gets brighter, so does the new crop of potential beaus in the dating scene! It sounds strange, but I have found that the dating world works very similar to the business cycle. For example, how many dates have you been on during the holiday season…or during the last few weeks in June before summer vaca?

Exactly.

Anywho, when the weather gets warmer (which I hope it does soon), here are 3 dress options that will be perf for your next spring DNO…

A wrap dress will always be a DNO staple, but in mini form & with sequined cuffs, this version will be a show stopper. P.S. – I will def be getting this dress.

A metallic jersey dress? Oh hell yes. In jersey form, the metallic shade will look more lady-like than hardcore NYC fashionista (trust me, some guys get intimated with that look).

WHAT: Embellished Tunic, White Cuffed Shorts, Espadrilles, Metallic Mini Handbag.

WHERE: Manhattan – East Side from 34th to 96th Streets.

WHY: The embellished tunic offers just the right amount of understated sexy without being sloppy or slutty (both preppy no-no’s). Pairing it with white cuffed shorts (must be cuffed to keep it looking tailored, a prep must) still keeps this outfit within the 40%  rule. Adding a pair of espadrilles (the higher the better) will give you the perf sultry leg you need to balance out the tunic coverage.  Finish the outy with a metallic mini-bag to add an extra sparkle of luxe.

P.S. – This outfit also works perfectly if your date wants to do a spontaneous trip to the Hamptons. And what’s more preppy than the Hamptons? Done.

I lah-huv white trenches for Spring/Summer bc they are so effortlessly chic. This is one of my favs bc it has three-quarter length, ruffled  sleeves – totes adorbs! I wore a short black & white floral shift dress underneath (although you can wear this trench as a dress, which I just may do one of these days). To finish off the black & white summer ensemble, I added my black & white Gucci suede & leather pumps & a fabulush Gucci clutch. And…who doesn’t love a gorgeous Midtown rooftop as a backdrop?
