Update your downtown foodie favs. Taste of Tribeca 2013 is a benefit event for the arts education in community schools. When you buy a ticket, you will get six plates from various local restaurants.

Watch a film on rooftop downtown. Downtown Rooftop Films hosts indie film screenings all over the city and this weekend it will be in LES. For tix, Open Road Rooftop (350 Grand St, bw Essex & Ludlow St).
Get your Comme des fix. With tons of items listed at 50-70% off, you can totes update your spring date night wardy. Look for printed skirts, floral tops & structured jackets. Located at 127 W 30th St.
Make the city your personal gym. When the weather is gorg (like it will be this weekend) Midtown Chap & I like to plan different runs through our fav neighborhoods in Manhattan. A run up Park Avenue or along the East side river is our go-to spots, espesh on a warm eve. Totes in #SkinnyMG mode dahlings!

Cheer on the NYC fav at the Kentucky Derby. The Bell House NY is hosting a full day of Derby fun ($10 at door). Watch 3-year-old colt Verrazano, named after the NYC bridge, race in this Saturday’s Kentucky Derby (hope he wins!). If you’ll be watching at home, use MG’s fabulush cocktail recipes as a guide to making some light & delish sips.
Get your foodie on, Asian style. The Lucky Rice Festival features a menu of inventive Asian dishes by 20 master chefs. Sip on delish cocktails while tasting even more delish food.
Glam up your apartment decor. Add some Hollywood chic to an old chair by spray painting the legs a brushed silver. Or, why not visit your fabric store (or the garment district in Midtown), and pick up a few yards of a brightly colored or boldly printed fabric for some spring flair. Fold the fabric and use as a duvet for your bed or throw for your sofa. Easy x 100

Check out the inspiration behind Japan’s Street Style. “Fashion Fast Forward: Japanese Art Goes POP” event explores the art-inspired street style and will feature an interview with the founders of Tokyo label Dresses/Undressed. Located at Japan Society.
Taste bites from NY’s foodie spots. Dish West is a 4 hour food & drink event that features various vendors from all over the city. It’s a great way to find out new date night favs & brunch in the city spots. Located at Altman Building (135 W 18th St, b/w 6th & 7th Aves).
View the pretty flowers. The Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival is a 2-day fair featuring a fashion show, workshops & tea ceremonies. Located at Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Get your brunch on with your besties. Visit MG’s Brunch In NYC column for fab brunch spots that offer great specials and ‘bottomless’ cocktail options (my fav).
Attend a free outdoor movie screening. Tribeca Film Festival is hosting free screenings at Brookfield Place Plaza (220 Vesey St.). Check out the full schedule of flicks here.
Partake in 50 Shades of Ale. Hosted by Two Girls, One Pint, try out unlimited craft beers for $25 at Bitter & Esters (700 Washington Ave), on 4/20 at 7pm.

Update your online dating profile for Spring. Add a new picture to your profile. You’d be surprised at how many profile photos are over a year old! Keep your pics fresh dolls & those dates will come.
Spray paint some color in your home office. I have an eggplant bookcase that is crying for something bright. I’ll be shopping for tangerine colored spray paint for the backboard of the bookcase. Will share deets on how it turns out
