Translation: I’m trying to be cute, but clearly I suck.

Translation: Because my wife prob won’t approve.

Ex-factor.

She: So what happened with your ex?

He: My ex was a crazy bitch.

Translation: I think most chicks are crazy bitches. I’m sure you prob are one too…

Scrutinizing your date night outfit.

He: So, do you always wear designer stuff?

She: Uhm, yea I like to wear nice things.

Translation: I hope you’re not a gold digger.

Opening your friendship circle.

He: I think my friends will really like you.

She: Aww, I’d love to meet them

Translation: I REALLY like you.

Ever wonder WTF guys/chicks really mean when they whisper those oh so lovely suggestions/thoughts in your ear after a wonderful (or so you thought) evening…hmmmmm? Let’s breakdown a few…NOW!

Spending time with the one you don’t love?

HE: “I’m going to miss you.”
SHE: “Awww.”

Translation: I would miss you too..if I really wanted to be with you. You’re just not “the One”.

Care to cut through the bull?

SHE: “It’s great to finally meet you.”
HE : (later in convo) “So, what are you looking for in a relationship.”

Translation: I want to hit that.

Feeling neglected by your significant other lately?

SHE: “Why do you have to spend so much time with your friends?”
HE: “Because I like spending time with my boys. What’s wrong with that?”

Translation: You ain’t that important to me.

Oh no he didn’t he just cancel our date.

SHE: Hey are we still on for tonight? I thought we had plans.

HE: So sorry! Something came up, can we please reschedule? I really want to see you…

Translation: I have another date and I might like her more so stick around until I find out.

Taking a chance – ending an online dating subscription.

HE: So, I just cancelled my subscription to “matchofmylife.com”.

SHE: Oh…you did? Wow.

Translation: You are that special.

]]> Sooo, as I was perusing the NYTimes book section, I found my next necessary read “The First Tycoon: The Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt.” by T.J. Stiles. Why? Because American Capitalism fascinates me ;-> This book is def going to be made into a movie…maybe with the ubiquitous Tom Hanks? Anyways, I digress…
As I was searching for the lowest book price online, I came across another title that caught my eye: “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” by…Steve Harvey??? Huh!? I took a look inside the book via Browse Inside and these are the specific chapters that have me seriously interested in buying this book (or free-reading it @ borders, recession-hello!):

“Sport Fish Vs. Keepers:
How Men Distinguish from the Marrying Types & The Playthings“

“Five Questions Every Woman Should Ask Before She Gets In Too Deep”

“How To Get The Ring”
(this one should be interesting as hell!)

I found an excerpt from the ‘Sports Fish v. Keepers’ chapter @ ‘The Mean Girl’s Guide to Glory Blog’ –
