MG in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan
Dove held a fabulush event last week at their Real Beauty photo studio in Midtown. We were invited to participate in their “Show Us Your Skin” campaign by having our pics taken at their studio and live streamed on the Time Square Billboard.
So Midtown Girl x 100!
At the Caudalie Vinothérapie Spa in The Plaza, founder Mathilde Thomas introduced us to her new VinoSource line. We were given a sample of the Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum and I was super excited to test it out. Being a HUGE serum fan & and an avid Caudalie user since my early 20′s, I keep the SOS serum on my pink desk not only for use as part of my morning moisturizing ritual, but also for tiny touch ups throughout the day, when my skin is feeling extra parched (espesh in this in-between weather).
This week GUAM Beauty Mud launched it’s pop-up shop in Midtown Manhattan. Made in Italy, GUAM Beauty Mud is Europe’s best selling anti-cellulite beauty product because of it’s firming and reducing cellulite responses. With a seaweed base (from Brittany, France), the mud is nutrient dense and allows for skin purification while also treating cellulite.
As usual, I had let my roots get out of control (almost 2 inches!). I usually get my highlights & base touched up approx. 4 times a yr and after noticing my roots in my last style pic, I knew I had to get it done. Like STAT.
Lucky for me, I found darling Sean, who specializes in color at the The Drawing Room in Soho. With over 10 years of color experience in both L.A. & NYC, I was thankful Sean was there to rescue my hair.
Sean asked me what I wanted to do & I told him I needed a touch up for my highlights & roots, making sure to keep the same color I currently have (medium brown with caramel-ly highlights). I stopped going lighter years ago (can you dahlings believe I actually went blonde in my early 20′s…).
At one of my fav NYC beauty apothacaries, MiN New York, we were introduced to Fils de Dieu du Riz et des Agrumes (“Son of God, rice and citrus”), a new fragrance from French perfume house Etat Libre d’Orange. Etat’s founder, Etienne De Swardt called on perfumer Ralf Schwieger to create this modern scent with a nod to classical South East Asian fare. With citrusy top notes surrounding cardamom, ginger, rice and coconut, the scent rounds off with Jasmine & ends in a luscious leather note. I received a bottle and…
I am totes wearing this on my next Date Night!

In Valentino’s stunning showroom in Midtown, we were introduced to Valentina, the first fragrance launched by the famed couture fashion house. The inspiration behind the fragrance is the unconventional femininity & elegance of the modern woman. Master perfumers Olivier Cresp & Alberto Morillas developed this divine Italian floral oriental scent with notes of Calabrian bergamot, white Alba truffles, sweet Amalfi orange blossom, wild strawberries & sultry amber.
