Dear Midtown Girl,

I think you were on to something when you said fall is a great time for dating. I just signed up for an online dating site (after taking a dating hiatus during the summer) and my inbox is engorged with potential guys. I’ve been talking to one of them and we made plans for a first date this week. Now I need help on what to wear!!! I’m excited (and nervous). What would be a good fall first date outfit?

So excited for you! And yes, fall is THE best dating time of the year (IMO & experience). One of my fav fall date night outfits is the mini sweater dress…

I love this Oasis Textured Panel dress because the fit is flattering, it shows enough skin to hold your date’s attention & it is perfect for a chilly fall evening. Since it’s long-sleeved, you can leave the jacket at home (which means he will totes be outfit impressed at first glance) and the gray color compliments almost every skin tone. I would pair this dress with a nude stiletto bootie like these Nias and clutch that can fit your date night flats in, like this Minkoff Mini Mac in bright pink (adore). Have a fabulush 1st date!
