Yesterday Jordana (Clutch22), Wendy (nitro_licious) & I had the pleasure of attending an exclusive tasting event & scent dinner featuring the new Starbucks VIA® Flavored Coffees, hosted by Chandler Burr, The New York Times scent critic. The event took place at Tom Colicchio’s new, beautiful restaurant – Riverpark (def doing a Date Night post on this fabulush resty!).
We began dinner w. a delish cocktail made with an iced version of the new Starbucks VIA® Flavored Coffees…
Then, New York Times scent critic Chandler Burr discussed the invisible, olfactory menu of scents from each of the new Starbucks VIA® flavors: Mocha, Caramel, Cinnamon Spice & Vanilla.
Each flavor was paired with a delish culinary dish designed to highlight the scent & flavor nuances of the natural ingredients used to create the new VIA® flavors…
Mocha VIA paired w. a chicken skewer & chocolate mole sauce
Caramel VIA paired w. braised pork belly & banana
Cinnamon Spice VIA paired w. roasted squash w. beef & roasted pumpkin seeds
Vanilla VIA paired w. panna cotta & apple slaw
The tasting dinner was absolutely beautiful & paired up perfectly. And…each of us went home w. a lovely gift bag filled with some great items!
