You know when you’re confused about a situation in your dateship/relationship and you keep repeating the same issue over and OVAH again until your besties say – “Honestly, I just don’t know what else to tell you.”
Two years ago, when I first started MG, I did so bc I was exhausted by telling the same dating stories to each one of my gf’s separately and then putting together all of their responses in order to help me figure out a particular Dating Dilemma. So, by writing a post on my Current Stat, it was more efficient/easier/AMAZE to get advice & help, all in one place.
The reason for BLOGGY LOVE and why bloggers love blogging. PERIOD.
Anywho, one of my long-time bloggy friends – whom I always ask for dating advice – became involved in a serious relationship and I felt it was inappropriate to ask him for advice every time I needed it, which is quite often…OBVS (esp. late in the eve, after a craptastic date..sorry!!!). So when my dear gf Jennine (@thecoveted), sent me a link to this new site, CouplesSpark, I was sooo intrigued!! (p.s – I am not being paid to talk about this – I just thought it was an interesting concept) -
Basically you “post a confict”, “get feedback” & then hopefully “get a conflict resolved”. Sounds pretty straight forward right?! And it’s ANON, so you don’t have to worry about your fav peeps thinking you’re obsessed about a specific situation you’re going through (bc you know you are). Here are some recent topics posted:
So, what do you dahlings think…would you give this a test run???
I’d feel a little funny consulting a website for advice because some people just like to read other people’s problems and don’t really care about helping. I think that the amount of technology that is now available for people to stay in contact with each other has made dating very difficult.
genius idea, but I think they should add age groups to each conflict – it’s different when you are 13 and your BF doesn’t call you, vs 30
Why not try it out for awhile. It’s great to get the opinion from someone without a personal vested interest because there are no emotions involved.
Thanks for the love Midtown Girl! I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the site.
Yuli, our couples do have the ability to choose who votes or offers advice. They can choose what age group, sexual orientation, relationship status, etc. We also provide some insight on who voted. This feature is currently turned off but we will re-add it soon.
