Sweet Sundays: Award Fun – Yay!

24 Oct, 2009 in: Uncategorized
Happy Sweet Sunday Bloggy Lovelies!!

I was given the lovely Kreativ Award by darling D of Dream Sequins & adorable PenPen of Penny Lane !!

Upon acceptance of this award, I have to list 7 things about myself…

7 Little Tidbits About MG:

I used to be obsessed with Bluefly. I’m talking – fantastically obsessed. I mean to the point where I would set my alarm clock (cell phone) to get up at the exact time Bluefly would update their daily inventory. Insane much? Thank god, I don’t do this anymore – it was completely effing up my internal clock. For shiz.

I have a weekly ice cream fix. Good thing Baskin Robbins’ is a 15 second walk from my apt. Mint Chip Double Oreo Cookie is my current fav but vanilla soft serve will suffice any day.

I am one of those chicks” that carries her dog in her handbag while running errands. I carry Midtown Pups in my LV bc she loves it & So.Do.I.

Yea, I said it…now what? LOL!

I am a Foodie. Not only do I love trying out new types of cuisines, I have to try out a new restaurant at least once a month to get my foodie fix (or I’ll get the foodie-jitters). My current fav is David Burke Townhouse, of which I went to for the 1st time during NYC Restaurant Week (Resty Wk is one of my fav NYC events of the yr).

I am now a Lover of all things Vintage. In fact, I’m gonna do a post of my recent vintage buys. The Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show, which I went to about a wk ago, almost killed me. I’m relieved that I got there in the last hour, bc had I not, I would have been relegated to eating Barilla Protein pasta for the next 2 months. And as a Foodie, that would have been pure torture.

Btw – I am currently engaged to Vintage Givenchy. No wedding date has been set…as of yet.

I love, love, love Home Decor. I am still contemplating on being an apt owner rather than renter bc I want to paint my walls a light lilac with a cream trim…but I don’t want to waste my time doing so if the place isn’t mine!! And I am still looking for my dream mirrored coffee table to go with my fabulush couch & tufted wing chair….where are you dream coffee table?

Lastly & most importantly – I never start a project unless I know I will put my heart & soul into it.

Nothing is worth doing unless you are passionate about it. Nothing.

I pass this Kreativ award to the following AWESOME Bloggy -Buds:

    1. I love that you were obsessed with Bluefly! Because I'm the exact same way with websites like Gilt and Ideeli, I set alarms for when the sales start, lol! It's my shopaholic obsession!

The coffee table should be a breeze to find — or design. I've designed furniture and have it made for me (nothing you would say wow, that's unique, but stuff I couldn't find).

I know exactly what your table should look like, if your decorating taste matches your love for vintage clothing.

I love the fact you're a foodie. I am too! However, since I can't really afford much these days, I've taken to cooking new dishes and am happy that I have a husband and friends who are willing to be guinea pigs.

If I had disposable $$$, I'd spend it on cooking stuff, cookbooks and more pottery/linen for the table (yeah, I have about 9 different sets of plateware – think I have a problem)…anyway, I'd want to go to Kitchen Arts & Letters in NYC – haven't been and it might be just worth the train ride in.

      Okay, rambled enough.

    3. awww so cute, carrying ur dog in LV.tho i kept wondering, arent u afraid that ur dog poop in ur bag?lol

    4. Hey there. Congrats on the award. Happy Sunday to you. I hope you've been enjoying the weekend. Take care. Good luck with the week ahead. Cheers!

    5. I agree with what you say about being passionate about doing things. I never do anything unless I am willing to give 100%

    6. The little dog in the handbag look is a good one.

    7. Okay, reason #172 that Colorado is LAME – no more Baskin Robbins!! I LUVED BR as a kid… my birthday cakes came from there for years and years… (reason #1 of CO's lameness is a complete lack of H&M – seriously, yo, not cool!)

And you and I must be twins – Givenchy vintage gives me dress-gasms!! I want to get married in the dress Audrey Hepburn wore in Sabrina… LE SIGH…

You make me miss NYC!! I think the next time I visit, you and I should do a BR date! :)

      xoxo J

    8. congrats on the awards!

    9. Haha I think Midtown pup LOVES being in a bag and going fabulous places with his mommy! I can't wait until we get a house (no apartments in Ohio let you have dogs) so we can get a puppy and he will travel everywhere with me!

    10. Hey hey! Got your comment – thanks :)

    11. YAY! Ur answers are so perfect!!! I worship at the vintage alter too!! I'm going to Austin, TX in a few weeks JUST to go shopping at their enormous assortment of vintage stores! My mom says we can get some Christmas gifts too, but SCREW other people!! I need the vintage!! :)
ANd- No worries about the dog in bag thing! If I could put Jasmine in a bag, I'd bring her everywhere! …maybe there's a bag that could make that happen…hmmm…

    12. WOW!!! Thank you so much!! You're such a sweetheart. I loved learning all those cute lil' things about you. Esp the last one. That's so important in life :D

    13. You are too adorable for words and I love love love that you're a foodie, because I am too. I love food, when I come back you have to take me to your favorites.

Congrats on the awards doll, well deserved!

    14. conrats and thank you for the award! Love the fun facts. We have a lot in common, I'm a total foodie as well and I NEED ice cream on a weekly basis even in the dead of winter. when my doggy was a puppy, I used to carry her in a bag with me all the time! She's a bit too heavy now. And I'm so with you on your last point. so true!

    15. 15 Second walk?? You lucky girl!!

Congrats on all the awards!! Off to read some new blogs :)
