Ridiculously Random… Snuggie lovin’??

30 Sep, 2009 in: Uncategorized

This is completely out of no where but I had to post it…LOL!

Just as fast as October has arrived, so has the chill factor here. It’s chilly as hell and I was thinking it would be a cute idea to get my mom (who always feels cold) a Snuggie, since it now comes in…PINK! And for those of you who think it’s ridiculous - the guy who it invented the Snuggie -which is actually just ‘a robe worn backwards’ – is now a multi-millionaire from it – DDD-DAMN!
Target had one on sale (now sold out) but I still looked at some of the reviews just for hell’s sake…and this is one that I found (sorry – I refuse to spell check other peeps verbage!):

Snuggie Fleece Blanket As Seen On TV review from Target:

“Terrible” August 30, 2009 Reviewer: Nice lady “jessica n” (fl)

“This is terrible i put it in with a load of whites and it turned all of my clothes blue. Then my dog urinated on it and the smell would not come out. When i was sheading papers the sleave got in the shreader and started a fire; so i went to to grab the extinguisher and tripped over the the snuggie i was wearing.”

I.AM.DYING.

Talk soon loves!

p.s. don’t forget to enter my giveaway - the winner will have their headshot digitally reproduced – HELLO- awesome!!!! XOXO

p.p.s – Thank you to Hanako66 for her our.city.lights giveaway that I WON – YAY x 100!!

  3. So did you end of getting one for your Mama?

  4. What a dumbass! I keep getting ads for the Snuggie on facebook. "Snuggie is going to college". They have my schools logo on a snuggie. If I saw someone at a football game with one of these things I wouldn't be able to stop laughing!

  5. hey,

  7. Hi dear. ;) Is the Snuggie rather staticky, I wonder?

  8. Note to DIYers: how amazing would a studded or besequinned snuggie be????

  9. I have a Snuggie. I wear it at work. It rocks my face off.

If I had snuggie, I might never wear real clothes again.

WTF is that chick ON? I am dying dude. DYING.

  11. oh…no…
I saw a leopard print snuggie at target today. made me think of all the blogging fashionistas who refuse to stop being stylish at a snuggie.

    LOL at Elizabeth's comment!!

Wow, reviewer Jessica N needs to get a brain not a snuggie.
I find it amazing how some people can take something as simple as a blanket, run it through a sewing machine, mass produce it and are instant gazillionaires. It kills me.
Good luck at the auction! :-)

That is a great review — it can't be true…..

I also can't believe the guy made millions off it, but why am I surprised. Some guy made a fortune off the Pet Rock in the 70s.

  15. Ha! That's too funny! I like the idea of it, but yah, I would totally trip over it and knock myself out on the coffee table!

  16. An insane person rating a Snuggle. FANTASTIC.

  17. Hanh, Life-in-Travel

    how funny!!!
I've seen the ad on TV so many many time.
    I don't know, it's not for me.

    Hanh,

  18. What a hoot! A backward robe made a guy rich. I need to start dumbing down my ideas :-)
    xo

  19. I've not come across the Snuggie before, but with the short winter months in Asia, I guess we don't need it. Sounds quite a laugh though!
